Privacy Policy

Read the privacy policy and local-processing statement for UTool.

Welcome to UTool

UTool values user privacy. This page explains which browser storage the site uses, when analytics may load, and why most tools are designed to stay in the browser whenever possible.

1. Local-first processing

Most tools run locally in the browser. Text, images and generated results are intended to stay on the client side by default.

  • Conversions, formatting, calculations and generators are performed locally when possible
  • We do not intentionally store the business data entered into the tools
  • You should still avoid using shared devices for highly sensitive data

2. Necessary storage

The site stores a necessary consent record so it can remember whether you allow preference storage and analytics. This storage is used for compliance and core functionality, not for advertising.

3. Preference storage

Only after you allow preference storage do we use browser local storage for language preference, workspace mode, and JSON / XML editor drafts.

4. Analytics

The site currently uses Google Analytics to understand visits and product usage. For EU visitors and other regions that require prior consent, we load the related script and cookies only after you opt in to analytics.

If you reject or later withdraw analytics consent, the site stops enabling that measurement and attempts to clear existing Google Analytics identifier cookies.

5. Managing or withdrawing consent

You can reopen the preference panel at any time from the footer link labeled “Cookie Settings” and change or withdraw your previous choices.

6. Third-party resources and contact

If the site integrates other third-party resources, hosting providers, or external links, those services may process access data under their own policies.

If you have any privacy questions, please use the Contact page.
